The Kaunas Reservoir, known locally as Kauno marios (Kaunas Sea), is a vast artificial lake created by the damming of the Nemunas River. Stretching over 63 square kilometers, it's one of the largest bodies of water in Lithuania and offers sandy beaches and swimming conditions that can rival the Baltic coast.
