The Tyruliai bog trail offers an accessible introduction to Lithuania's raised bog ecosystems. A wooden boardwalk leads through the bog, passing pools of dark water, islands of stunted pine, and carpets of sphagnum moss that bounce beneath your feet.
The bog is home to carnivorous sundew plants, cranberries, and several rare bird species. The boardwalk makes this fragile ecosystem accessible without causing damage to the sensitive vegetation.
